§ 2-136. Notary publics for county offices.

  • (a)

    There is a public need for each county office to have one licensed notary public with such licensing fees to be paid from county funds. If an office's designated notary public is absent, another officer's designee shall provide such notary services for official business.

    (b)

    Any and all fees received by any notary public employed and on duty in any county office shall be deposited with the county treasurer. Furthermore, no fee for such service shall be collected for an employee's personal use.
