§ 2-176. Position created; compensation; duties.

  • (a)

    There is created the position of county attorney.

    (b)

    The salary of the county attorney shall be at the level provided for the position of deputy prosecuting attorney or as approved in the budget.

    (c)

    The county attorney shall be a staff member of the county judge, as provided by the Arkansas County Government Code (A.C.A. § 14-14-101 et seq.). However, due to the nature of the duties of the county attorney and those of the prosecuting attorney, the county attorney shall also be concurrently responsible to the prosecuting attorney and shall work from the prosecuting attorney's office.
