§ 2-276. Mandatory services.

The central communications department shall provide the following services:

(1)

Dispatch services for the public safety departments (sheriff, rural fire, ambulance and emergency services) and public safety departments of municipalities contracting with the county for such services.

(2)

Operate a 911 public safety answering point (PSAP) when so designated by the 911 administrative board.

(3)

Other public or private safety support services as may be approved and directed by the county judge, such other services including but not limited to operation of computer terminals connected to state and national law enforcement information networks.
