§ 2-287. Information systems emergency operation plan.

  • (a)

    It shall be the policy of the county that all steps necessary to secure the continued operation of information systems be taken. The director of information systems is hereby directed to obtain a safe deposit box and place therein all information needed to gain access to the secured electronic data stored in the county's information systems.

    (b)

    In the event of the untimely demise or other departure of the director of information systems, the signature of the following persons shall be required to open said safe deposit box:

    (1)

    The county judge; and

    (2)

    The county treasurer.

    These officials shall then take necessary action to ensure the continued operations of the county computer system.
