§ 2-318. Organization; compensation; removal from office.

  • (a)

    The members of the public facilities board shall meet and organize by electing one of their members as chairman, one as vice-chairman, one as secretary and one as treasurer, and such officers shall be elected annually thereafter in like manner. The duties of the secretary and treasurer may be performed by the same member. The board may also appoint an executive director who shall not be a member of the board and who shall serve at the pleasure of the board and receive such compensation as shall be fixed by the board.

    (b)

    The members of the board shall receive no compensation for their services but shall be entitled to reimbursement for their reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.

    (c)

    Any member of the board may be removed for misfeasance, malfeasance or willful neglect of duty by the county judge after reasonable notice of and an opportunity to be heard concerning the alleged grounds for removal.
